A Family Legacy
The Reimer family’s painting tradition began in the early 1990s, when Michael’s father, Earle Reimer, launched Reimer & Sons in Missoula as a summer business for his three boys. Earle, who also served as superintendent of Valley Christian School for 30 years, instilled values of hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship that shaped the company from the start.
What began as seasonal exterior painting soon grew into a family legacy, with Michael later carrying on the business under the name Reimer and employing his own three sons — Casey, Riley, and Keaton — as the next generation of “sons.” For decades, painting remained the Reimers’ primary summer focus alongside Michael’s career as a teacher at Valley Christian.
Today, Reimer Paint & Coatings has become a full-time, year-round business. Building on over 30 years of experience, we now offer not only interior and exterior painting, but also specialized coating services such as cabinet refinishing, bathtub and shower glazing, countertop resurfacing, concrete floor epoxy, and powder coating. Through it all, our family’s commitment to quality, detail, and service remains unchanged.
Michael Reimer | Owner
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1994 and went on to teach junior high and high school music for 28 years as a dedicated band director. During summers, he honed his skills in residential painting — a craft he has practiced for more than three decades. In 2025, Michael chose to pursue his passion full-time, expanding into professional painting and specialized coating applications. His commitment to detail, efficiency, and quality products has become the foundation of Reimer Paint & Coatings, where every project reflects his standard for excellence.
